About Us
Edinboro students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community are
invited to participate in “Green Energy Week” November 30 to December 4, 2009.
A variety of educational, fun and relevant activities and events are scheduled
to raise awareness of alternative energy solutions and ways to live a more
sustainable lifestyle.
S.E.E.D. (Students
of Edinboro for Environmental
Defense)
The purpose of S.E.E.D. is to
promote knowledge and awareness of environmental issues by participating in
field trips, inviting guest speakers and arranging for “green” activities. The
club also serves the local community through various volunteer projects such as
highway and stream cleanups and creating nature trails.

Green Energy Week
The “Green Energy Week” will
serve to educate and motivate students, faculty and the general public by
providing as much information as possible on renewable energy and living green
to allow them to take action.
Goals:
Edinboro University students and faculty:
• Allow them to see first hand the
array of renewable and sustainable energy applications and technology.
• Give them information on how they can reduce, recycle and reuse while a
student at EUP.
• Generate interest in “green” energy and green practices that might coincide
with the starting a degree program at EUP.
The general public:
• Promote products, services and
provide information that encourage healthier, more sustainable consumption and
lifestyles for businesses and families.
• Help them learn if solar, wind or other forms of alternative energy would work
for their homes or businesses.
• Provide energy savings tips they can use immediately.
